Ačkups takes part in a football tournament for the first time

Ačkups started the new season with a completely new experience - taking to the field for the very first time to participate in the 17th Football Cup organized by TDA "Rotaļa"!

While we are usually seen on stage performing dance steps, this time we put on our football boots and embraced a different rhythm - a sporting challenge on the field.

The preparation process itself brought us a lot of joy - between rehearsals, we discussed tactics, practiced our first shots, and trained both our speed and team spirit. It showed that together we can do anything - not only dance, but also play sports, support one another, and share plenty of laughs.

The tournament day was full of colour and excitement. We enjoyed both playing our own matches and watching the games of others, making the most of the warm weather and even cooling off under the occasional rain shower. In the breaks between matches, we tested our skills and challenged our knowledge through various activities. The atmosphere was truly worthy of a football tournament - full of enthusiasm, emotions, and a team spirit that kept bringing us closer together.

On the field, we experienced every possible scenario - during the group stage, we celebrated one victory, faced a defeat, and played one match to a draw. In the quarterfinals, we acknowledged the stronger performance of TDA "Pērle" and finished the tournament in 8th place.

However, we are especially proud of our individual achievements - our Annija and Emīls truly shone in the penalty shootout competition, becoming the most accurate shooters among all participating groups!

The day concluded with a party and an awards ceremony, where we celebrated the winners and proudly enjoyed our own achievements as well. We sincerely thank TDA "Rotaļa" for organizing such a fantastic event, and we are already looking forward to next year’s tournament with great excitement.

This experience proved that the most important thing is being together, trying something new, and enjoying the journey. And most importantly - this was definitely not our team’s last football tournament!
