We are a real student group with all the consequences that come with it, but we undoubtedly take Latvian folk dance and Latvian cultural heritage in general seriously and responsibly. When dancing with a partner, we try to see not only the partner's beautiful smile and stretched fingertips, but we also tend to repeat human anatomy in our minds. We tend to encourage, motivate, please each other, we tend to help each other, we are friendly and our rehearsals are always full of humor. If you have been to Ačkups once, then you understand that there is no going back and it's forever!

What is a group without a leader? Our Elita took over the reins of Ačkups in 1995. She is fair and full of energy - the dancers can see it in the rehearsals.

Our great concertmaster, who has been delighting the ears of our dancers with her agile finger movements since 1995.
Sarmīte is a person who takes care of the musical side of dance. She is able to quickly adapt to all the dance steps of the leaders with a pleasant piano accompaniment.
